Spokane Karuta Society's Going to Be on TV!

So I received an e-mail this morning from a Japanese T.V. company called T.V. Asahi and they asked us (Spokane Karuta Society) if we would like to be a part of a show they're making called I Love Japan. It features different people from around the world who are interested in Japanese culture. Pretty cool huh? 

Practice Times 09/29-10/6

Practices are on Monday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday 6-9 pm at the Spokane Valley Library in the small conference room downstairs. Hope to see you there!

Adjusted Practice Times This Week

Practices this week will be on Monday and Wednesday this week from 6-9 pm instead of Monday/Thursday. Just a reminder to anyone who's curious, we practice at the Spokane Valley Library (12004 E. Main Avenue,Spokane Valley, WA 99206) downstairs in the small conference room. If you need help finding us ask one of the nice librarians. :) Hope to see some new faces there! :D

Second Practice Complete!

We had another fun time at practice. Played an intense yet fun match. Currently working on a flyer design to help promote our club. I'll post it to show you all what it looks like.

On a side note before we went to practice, a librarian asked the other co-founder of our society and I  if we would be interested in teaching the kids from the local anime club about karuta, and how to play it. Pretty exciting if I say so myself! :D Potential recruiting skills activate!
